Monel mesh material
Monel alloy, also known as Monel, is a nickel-copper based alloy containing up to 67% nickel, 28% copper and 5% other components such as iron, manganese, carbon, and silicon, etc. It has excellent corrosion resistance and high strength and is widely used in aerospace, marine engineering, chemical industry, and other fields.
Monel 400 alloy is a corrosion-resistant alloy with the largest usage, the widest application, and excellent comprehensive performance. This alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in hydrofluoric acid and fluorine gas media and also has excellent corrosion resistance to hot concentrated alkali solution. It is also resistant to corrosion by neutral solutions, water, seawater, atmosphere, organic compounds, etc.
Monel K500 alloy has excellent mechanical properties such as high strength, corrosion resistance, and non-magneticity. Due to the low corrosion rate of the alloy in flowing seawater and the high strength of the alloy, it is suitable for working under relatively harsh geological mining conditions of high sulfur and high wax oil layers. The alloy has no plastic-brittle transition temperature, so it is very suitable for various low-temperature equipment. It is suitable for petroleum, chemical shipbuilding, pharmaceutical, and electronic sectors.

Monel woven wire mesh characteristics
- Monel wire mesh has excellent corrosion resistance in fluorine gas, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, and their derivatives; Monel 400 is one of the few important materials that can resist hydrofluoric acid.
- Water corrosion resistance. In flowing seawater, it not only has excellent corrosion resistance but also rarely suffers from pitting corrosion and stress corrosion.
- High-temperature corrosion resistance. The maximum temperature of M400 for continuous operation in air is generally around 600℃. In high-temperature steam, the corrosion rate is less than 0.026mm/a.
- Ammonia corrosion resistance. Due to the high nickel content of Monel alloy, it can resist corrosion under anhydrous ammonia and ammoniation conditions below 585℃.
- Low-temperature resistance. Since the alloy has no plastic-brittle transition temperature, it is very suitable for various low-temperature equipment.
Monel wire mesh application
- Aerospace: used to manufacture high-temperature components such as combustion chambers, turbine blades, and exhaust systems of aircraft engines.
- Chemical industry: used to manufacture high-temperature and high-pressure equipment such as heat exchangers, reactors, and towers in chemical equipment.
- Petroleum industry: used to manufacture high-temperature and high-pressure equipment such as heaters, evaporators, and separators in petroleum refining equipment.
- Textile industry: used to manufacture high-temperature drying equipment and hot air devices in textile machinery.
